British expats are pros – and I am grateful to the person who posted this on ShanghaiMamas because I had not seen this before. Britishcornershop.co.uk is a delivery service for British expats all over the world, including China. They have more than 6,500 goods that they will ship – cost to China is steep, about $35USD, but you can order up to 30kg! So order with a friend, or stock up, and delivery is 5-10 business days.
Flipping through the site, there are definitely some tasty treats in the “every once in a while” category, including lots of sweets and biscuits that the Brits do super well. But, also click on special categories and find tons of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and organic products. I would recommend loading up on tinned fish, like tuna and salmon, veggie soups, beans, whole-grain pasta, oats and dried fruits/vegs for a healthy pantry to keep you eating well all winter. Prices are higher than Marks & Spencer but offer way more variety.
You can also throw in the latest gossip mags, including Hello! and Star. Calorie-free!
