Being part of Eat Well Shanghai has lead me down all kinds of new paths and as a result I have had the opportunity to meet many of the people in Shanghai who share Eat Well Shanghai’s passion for promoting the benefits of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle in this crazy place we all call home.
Just this past week I met with a group of awesome women determined to blow open the gluten-free scene here in Shanghai. And they are well on their way.
The organizers of Gluten-Free Shanghai have several goals but first and foremost they want to be a resource for people with celiac disease who are living, working and traveling here in Shanghai. And this group knows what they are talking about; two of the founders are themselves living in Shanghai and following strict gluten-free diets.

Gluten-Free Shanghai is intended to provide research updates, information and support for people with gluten-free diet. We increase awareness and availability of gluten-free products and services in Shanghai area. Gluten-Free Shanghai offers expert knowledge on gluten-free products, organizes related events and provides counseling. We also consult food & beverage industry in their processes and food-safety.
Gluten-free Shanghai is holding a series of workshops at Sprout Lifestyle this spring. Their next workshop is on Gluten-free baking. Come and taste how yummy gluten-free can be !
