Hello Shanghai, Hello EWS Readers !
2011 is upon us and it is a marvelous feeling. I do like this time of year, amid the gray skies there is the sense of fresh possibilities for the year ahead. I am grateful to Julie Meyer , the creator of Eat Well Shanghai for entrusting me with her brain child and the possibilities that come along with this opportunity. Julie was fantastic at getting to know Shanghai and making the most of her time here. A good lesson for us all to take into 2011.
I am looking forward to picking up the EWS apron strings that Julie has so neatly left behind and moving ahead with the Eat Well Shanghai message of good food and good times, that Julie so enthusiastically pursued.
So in that spirit let me tell you about a new organic cafe tucked away in the old French concession area of Shanghai. The Melange Oasis is a lovely little place hiding down a lane on Shanxi Nan Lu. Their ginger lemon tea was the perfect antidote for the cold this past Wednesday.
Look for the Melange Oasis at Jiashan Market, No. 37, Lane 550 Shanxi Nan Lu, near Shaoxing Lu.
